What are limit orders and rate watches?

Learn all about limit orders and rate watches.

What is a limit order?

A limit order is a tool Caxton offers clients to monitor the market.

In simple terms, if you have a desired rate you want to book a trade at, a limit order will be booked for you once the market reaches that level. For more information, please contact the helpdesk on 0333 123 1815 (UK) or +44 (0) 207 235 3435 (outside the UK).

What is a rate watch?

On the other hand, rate watches are bit different; rate watches watch the market, so you do not have to but you do not get booked in for you.

An account manager will reach out to you and explain it has been triggered, at this point you can choose whether to book a trade or not.
